Jingxuan Xie

Jingxuan is a senior undergraduate student at NYU Shanghai, majoring in Social Science with a Psychology track. Her current research interests focus on the use of AI-based tools in mental health interventions, particularly exploring their acceptability among patients and clinicians. Since early 2024, she has been working as a research assistant with Dr. Aafjes-van Doorn, contributing to clinical research on therapeutic relationships with incarcerated patients. Her work includes coding alliance and adherence in psychodynamic forensic treatment sessions and reviewing therapy transcriptions for NLP integration in machine learning models. Outside of her academic work, Jingxuan minors in Dance and Music, seeking for  a creative balance to her life.
