Antoina Yuxin Hua

Antonia (Yuxin) Hua (she/they) is a first-year master’s student in the Psychological Sciences Program at University of Illinois Urbana Champaign. Antonia earned her BA in Social Sciences with a concentration in Psychology from NYU Shanghai in 2024. Her research interests broadly focus on adolescent development, risk and protective processes, developmental psychopathology, and psychotherapy. She is also passionate about understanding mental health disparities among traditionally understudied and underserved populations, including racial, ethnic, sexual, and gender minority youth and families. Currently, Antonia is the project lead on a survey study that seeks to map out therapists’ and clients’ attitudes towards the integration of AI in psychotherapy in China.
