Jiaxi Nie (Jessie)

Jessie Nie is a senior undergraduate student at NYU Shanghai, majoring in Social Science with a concentration in Psychology. Her research interests broadly focus on children's gender development, gender representation in media, and therapeutic agency in psychotherapy. She is currently conducting secondary data analysis on the role of therapeutic agency in therapy sessions with Dr. Katie Aafjes-van Doorn. Jessie is passionate about clinical practice in psychology and plans to attend a master's program in mental health counseling. Outside of academics, she loves traveling, enjoys music, and is passionate about exploring new things and diverse cultures.
